About our Cat Nikita About a year after we got Candy from the pound, my husband voiced his wish for a cat. He had been secretly looking around before, but around his birthday and Halloween time we went looking for a cat. Our veterinarian had a litter of kittens and one of them was a all black one. We held it and petted it and cuddled it for a while. We still were not sure if we were going to get a cat or not, but I knew that my husband really fell in love with that particular kitten. So a couple of days later I went for a car ride with my husband and I "accidentally" drove the car to the veterinarian's office. And guess what, I got him his "Halloween kitten". He named this black kitten after a character in one of his favorite TV shows "La Femme Nikita". We rarely call her Nikita though - we got different "pet" names for all our pets. I mostly call her "squirt" or "squirty" and my husband comes up with new names all the time. Nikita loves to cuddle up with my dog, my husband and me. With our cat Whitey she loves to play the "hunt each other" game. Other than that and the occasional "kiss" she doesn't do a whole lot with Whitey. One of her "bad" habits is to eat and destroy house plants and she is very picky about her cat food.
Ok, enough reading about Nikita for now - it's time for photos. The newest photos are first and the later ones are last.
