About Myself

I was originally born in 1970 in Mainz, Germany. We moved around a lot, but mainly stayed in the mid southern region of (back then still) West Germany in the Rhein/Main river area. Cities we lived in included: Ingelheim, Ruesselsheim, Stockstadt, Griesheim.

The photos below are sorted from latest to earliest. So the last picture of myself was taken back in Germany at my trade school. You see, in order to get a job in Germany, you have to go through an apprenticeship program that includes part-time work and part-time trade school. My 3-year apprenticeship program was for retail sales.

After our move to the USA (first stop was Colorado Springs, CO and then upstate NY) I found it hard to get a job, even though I had a lot of self-taught office skills and of course my 3-year apprenticeship and the following 5 years of working for one retail sales company back in Germany. That's because I didn't have any work experience in the USA. So while we were in upstate NY from 1997 to 2000 I went to college and got my Associates in Applied Science for Accounting.

Since my husband is in the military, we have to move every couple of years, so it was hard for me to find a permanent job. I went to work for temp services and gained a lot and very valuable experience working different jobs with different companies.

I still work for temp services every now and then, but am mostly concentrating on my online eBay auction business. This works out great for us for various reasons. First of all, my husband is a packrat, meaning he loves to bring home all kinds of stuff. Since storage is limited and we most likely have to move a couple more times, selling all this stuff on eBay auctions is a great idea. Also, since I got all my templates set up and putting stuff on eBay is very easy, I got time to do what I enjoy (playing games on the computer and online, music, reading, gardening, and so much more).
